lost). If members wish to make the return journey with parents they must inform the Music Service in advance.

4.30pm: approximate arrival back at Woodlands (members will call home with more accurate ETA after we depart
Birmingham).
Dressing rooms: The orchestra will be allocated a room but as space and privacy is extremely tight, separate male and
female dressing rooms are not available. Because of this LYSO members should travel in concert dress.
Concert Dress:
Females:
Full length black skirt, (Cellist may wear black smart trousers), smart white blouse with sleeves (no tee-shirts or
sleeveless tops), black shoes/sandals and black socks/tights.
Males:
Black trousers, white shirt, LYSO tie, black shoes and socks (not white socks).
Performers and helpers passes: The orchestra will be issued with passes (wrist bands) at Symphony Hall. They must be
worn throughout our time at the Festival as they act as passes to allow access to the auditorium to hear other performances.
Please ensure that you don't forget to bring your instrument and any accessories you require on the day. Double Bass
players will need to bring their own stools.
Please remember to bring a packed lunch and a drink. Catering is available at Symphony Hall, but there may not be much
time to buy food until after the orchestra has performed.
Members will remain in Symphony Hall throughout and will be supervised by orchestra staff. The event complies with the LA's
requirements for the safety and welfare of students on educational visits.
There will be a limited number of seats available on the coach for any parents that wish to travel to Birmingham with the
Orchestra, this will be on a first come first serve basis, for details please contact Ann Connal on 01257 517108.
